Green Rebel is seeking an IT Specialist to build and maintain the IT infrastructure within the company. This includes hardware/software for storing and processing large digital aerial and marine datasets. Based at Green Rebel’s main office in Crosshaven, Co. Cork, the IT specialist will be responsible for systems located at our offices at multiple locations in the harbour area and onboard our aircraft and vessels.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of company computer hardware and software systems
- Ensuring data storage is safe and secure
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network
Essential
- Degree in computer science or a related field
- Linux administration
- Network knowledge (preferably hi-speed networks)
- Experience with storage / disk-array system (NAS, SAN, DAS, etc.)
- Windows Server and Active Directory
Desirable
- Database and Database server experience
- Experience with NMEA buffers, network switches, serial converters
- Familiarity with GPS (GNSS) systems
